RBMA: Kyle Hall : Fireside Chat

It's no mystery that Michigan has produced some really talented musicians over the years. Kyle Hall emerged during a time period in which most of Detroit's techno producers and DJs had either fled the city in search of more, or stayed behind to keep the community alive. At just 19 years, Kyle already has releases on Detroit's own FXHE label, London's famed Hyperdub, and his own Wild Oats label. With house dons of American dance music guiding Kyle along at an early age, it's no wonder that his influence of Detroit house and techno shines through on his own production. It's not just deep house that is Kyle's specialty, though; he transforms the rhythm and chooses his own pace, both in the studio and in the mix. This eclectic arrangement of sound has earned Kyle Hall much attention over the last couple years, as he is completely breathing new life into existing ideas.
